Opening an account
You must be at least 18 and resident in Nigeria to open an account. You agree to give us accurate information and to keep it current. Accounts are personal: you may not open one on behalf of somebody else, and you may not let another person use yours.
Verifying your identity
Nigerian financial regulation requires us to verify who holds an account. Some services are available immediately; others require verification, and a few require a higher level of it. We will tell you what is needed before you are asked for it, and we may suspend access to a service until verification is complete.
Your balance
Money in your wallet remains yours. Your balance is the sum of every recorded entry against your account, and every entry is available to you. We do not charge a fee for holding a balance, for having an inactive account, or for closing one.
Making a purchase
Every purchase shows what will leave your wallet before you authorise it. Funds are held when you confirm and released to the provider only when the purchase succeeds. If a purchase definitively fails, the hold is released in full.
Where the outcome of a purchase is genuinely unclear, we resolve it with the provider before deciding either way, rather than guessing. That can take longer than an instant result, and it is deliberate: guessing risks charging you for something you did not receive, or giving away something you did not pay for.
Things that cannot be reversed
Airtime, data, electricity tokens, exam PINs, gift card codes, eSIM profiles and cryptocurrency cannot be recalled once delivered. Check the details — the meter number, the phone number, the wallet address — before you confirm. A transfer sent to a wallet address you entered incorrectly cannot be recovered by us or by anyone else.
Cryptocurrency
Cryptocurrency prices move, and the rate you are shown is held only for the period displayed on the confirmation screen. If it expires you will be shown a new one. Digital assets are volatile and their value can fall as well as rise. Nothing on this site is investment advice.
Keeping your account secure
Keep your password and transaction PIN to yourself. We will never ask you for either, and we will never ask you to read out a one-time code. Anyone who does is not us. Tell us immediately if you think somebody else has access to your account.
What we may do
We may suspend or close an account where we are required to by law, where we reasonably believe it is being used fraudulently, or where you have broken these terms. Where we can tell you why, we will. Any balance that is yours remains yours and will be returned to you.
Closing your account
You can close your account at any time. We will return any remaining balance to a bank account in your name. We keep transaction records after closure for the period the law requires.
If something goes wrong
Write to hello@zenvapay.com. We will acknowledge your complaint and tell you what we are doing about it. Our complaints procedure sets out the steps and how long each should take.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Where a change affects your rights or what you pay, we will tell you before it takes effect, and you may close your account if you do not accept it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
